Did anybody find a bittorrent client with built in RSS support for the ch3wnas/dsm-g600?
For the windows platform there is uTorrent, which has features like that, which rocks!

Still busy searching: found Deluge, which looks promising. But I haven't found a compiled version for the (wireless) NAS yet... keep on searching. If anybody finds/knows anything usefull, please post.

Deluge is since version 0.6 headless, so that looks good. But, being a linux noob, i have no idea about compiling and so on... Can anybody tell me if this deluge is what i'm looking for?

Second: i saw that the combination of rTorrent and RSSDler (by google: http://code.google.com/p/rssdler/) also looks like a killer combination. No clue whether it really is on a NAS...
Or, if anybody has a better idea; it feels like reinventing the wheel, while having no clue (being a linuxnewbie)what i'm doing

I just found this link: http://anticrap.net/2007/08/30/headless … interface/
Will this work on the dsm-g600? And being a n00b, can i do this, or is this not as simple as it looks like?

You can chroot to debian or gentoo and install rTorrent and RSSDler solution.

I learned a lot this night, but i'm not closer to a solution...
I installed gentoo, and that all works. I can give commands for ebuild and so on, so i think that is up and running. Still, its all pretty new for me, so i have no clue how i did it (well i do, i copy and pasted the wikipage :-) ).
First i tried the Deluge, via ebuild commands, but the darn thing complained about dependencies and about Keywords with "~ppc" or something. So, that didn't work. Then i tried the other solution that i found online, but that is written for Ubuntu, so the first command failed directly . Then i tried googleing the solution of installing azerues for Gentoo, and once again the answer seemed to be in the ebuild command. Well, th3n it complained about java or something, so not sure what to do next.
Michael Peeters wrote something about running stuff natively, as long as there is a PPC binary without depencencys. http://michael-peeters.blogspot.com/200 … ively.html Is this not possible for Deluge?
edit 1: hey, the NAS seemed to accept the ebuild for the rtorrent! Well, let see how that works out. I'll edit if i know more.
edit 2: well, the ebuild found some dependencies, but these all failed to merge. It said something about ebuild foo.ebuild digest. No idea. Theres always tomorrow...

rtorrent should install fine but it takes about 6-10 hour to compile with all dependencies.
transmission torrent client is making some improvements in new version (1.30beta, 1.22 and older do not work due to need of domain sockets), maybe you can find some use of it.
