Moving hard drives to a new DNS-323?

Is it possible to move my hard drives from one dns-323 to another without losing any data?

Sure, but it's a very good idea to back up first - and while you're at it, check the firmware revision of each, since it will reduce potential complications if they match.  Good luck.

That may depend on the configuration of the device and the disks.

Moving disks from a JBOD or RAID0 configuration to a device which has been configured differently has the potential for data loss.

Re: Moving hard drives to a new DNS-323?

Ensure the firmware versions match, then Backup your config using the web admin:- Tools, System, Configuration Settings, then restore these settings on to your new DNS-323, then remove the disks, and replace them into the new DNS-323 in the same slots they came out of.

Cheers
