Is it the dns problem or my ctorrent setup problem?

Maybe you miss valid nameserver entry at /etc/resolv.conf
Try to ping inferno.demonoid.com

hmm, i've got the same troubles with ctorrent.
keeps on telling me "warn, get tracker's ip address failed."
resolv.cond is ok. i can ping the tracker.
Only thing i could think of is a firewall issue.
the dns-323 is behind a router, Linksys wrt54g with Freeman firmware, and i've enabled Portforwarding of ports 2106 - 2706 to the Nas Box.
Any further idea?
Is someone of you running the box also behind a router? Most of u i would asume

Try multiple times and multiple torrents with different trackers. Then try to port forward some different range, stating from 10000.

no way to make it run. altough i'm able to ping the tracker, wo resolve.conf should be ok.
funny enough it works perfect out of a chrooted etch.
so i'll go this way
