How to enable username for Login Box
Dlink DNS-323
Firmware 1.03
I need to login base on Windows Explorer.Is it can?.Let say, i'm typing
\\XXX.XXX.XXX.206.The username was disable.I tried to set up user access by using Windows XP
The Login Box show
Uername : XXX.XXX.XXX.206\Guest (Disable)
Password:

Yes, when "security" in samba set to "SHARE", and you use Windows XP client, it will not allow you specify user to login.
One work around is: use "net use"
Try this:
net use \\<your dns name or ip>\<shared folder> /user:<your username>
And from any of your browser, you can go to: \\<your dns name or ip>\<shared folder> just find.
After you use it, you can:
net use \\<your dns name or ip>\<shared folder> /delete
to remot it.
