Hi
Is there a way to have my media player boxes (MG-35's) have unrestricted access to the DNS-323, but XP users on my network have password based access? I'm trying to restrict access from some PC's to music only.
At the moment, as soon as I set up user lever password based access to limit the access from PC's, my MG-35's can't access the DNS, as they have no way of entering a password, and I dont know how to set them up within the DNS-323 itself.
Is there a way to grant access based on IP address range? Or a plugin that can be used? Any pointers, please!
I've had to go back to no access control, so that the media players can access the DNS-323
Thanks in advance!

Can your media player use NFS?

Consider using unfs which can be put in as part of fonz' fun_plug. You can then set the permissions on the DNS for SAMBA (PC users) and connect via NFS with no password for the media player.
I use a similar set-up for my popcorn hours.
