Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Anyone Added Second Drive and switched to RAID1 (FW 1.05)?

I see in the release notes for 1.05

"- Add option to re-configure the Hard Drive configuration as RAID 1 when installing the 2nd new Hard Disk"

Anyone done this with positive results?  When I tired this.  The "format" got to 94% and hung. Now I have a "orange" light coming from the right drive (new one). When rebooted now the webui just takes me to "Select RIAD Type" after login.  However it shows both installed drives. Will selecting RAID1 now reformat both drives?  I have most of my data backed up however it would still be a pain in the #$% to have to copy it all back and what not.  One last point is that you can still mount and use the original drive however it now shows 0 Drives Installed but with the correct amount of drive space etc.

Yes - I have done it - but purely as a test.

If you select a RAID1 format now, it most likely will format both drives - however - there is still hope, there's a guy here (bq041 I think is his handle) who has developed a set of scripts that fix problems of this nature, he'll probably tell you how to fix it.

While looking forward at the DNS's power button, which drive is in which bay?  This will determine how to proceed.  Also, are you running a fun_plug?  You will need to to get this to set up manually.  I run ffp 0.5.

DNS-323     F/W: 1.04b84  H/W: A1  ffp: 0.5  Drives: 2X 400 GB Seagate SATA-300
