Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could find a few minutes and help me out. Please
Ok here is what I would love my device to do.
Boot with wireless on no matter what. And if there is a way to give it a static ip address that would be great.
I am a real NOOB any help appreciated.
Thanks,
-Greg

What do you mean "no mater what"? Just setup your DSM-G600 to have static IP, you don't need fun_plug for that. Look manual for more info if you get lost in somewhere.

Hi,
No the problem I experience is that if I loose power which happens often enough sometimes it will not reboot with wifi enabled. I have to use a computer to go to the web interface and re enable the wifi. I wonder is there is a way with the fun_plug to make the wifi turn on by default. It seems the default now is to boot with wifi disabled.
Thanks,
-Greg

What is the version of the firmware ?
look at http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t19-Update … -Bugs.html sala wrote something about problem with 1.02eu
At home my dsm is 1.02us and is often shutdown and start again and wifi always starts. But i noticed that not all parameters are properly re load. May be your problem.
You can X-compile the wireless-tools to make corrections in your fun_plug.

Yep, its probably because of long boot-ups. Update to 1.02us or setup a second partition for your files (even though you are using 1.02us it is good to have second partition).

Hey,
Thank You very much. That seems to do the trick. I followed both suggestions and pulled the plug on the unit a few times and wifi comes back which it did not do before. Thank you Sala and BertrandB. This will make using this device much better. I contacted Dlink about the problem but that said there was nothing i could do. They should pay you all for giving support. Really appreciate it.
