You can change your ftp welcome message!
Look in the / directory
files: welcome.msg
Use vi to edit/ view the file
Default:
Welcome to my FTP site.
Now is the time ==> %T
The host name is %L
You are %U
There are %N person in my site, now.
----
Change message to what you like.
