GNUmp3d on DNS323? - Unslung Does It

First question:
Has anyone got GNUmp3d running on dns-323. If so, what method of install (optware, chroot, etc)?

Second question:
Looking at the post below, I see someone has instructions for getting GNUmp3d into unslung. Would I be correct to assume that installing the optware package and doing some compiling or downloading of the precompiled binaries in the post would eventually get this streaming media server installed?

Last question:
Are there other streaming media servers with a web interface and search tool? Guess I could use edna with seach patch, but I never had good luck gettng it to work on Ubuntu - worked on slackware 10 back when Edna .5 was latest release.

DNS 323 (Hardware B1, Firmware 1.06). 2x 1.5TB Seagate HDs.
Chroot Debain (Lenny) on USB (not reloaded). Edna server. USB print server. USB drives added to samba share. All init.d scripts in place.
Future projects: FFP reloaded then chroot on B1 hardware.

Re: GNUmp3d on DNS323? - Unslung Does It

Update: Using chroot updated to lenny edna  .5 and .6 both run fine - NO tinkering needed. I was able to install the search patch on edna .5, and I'm very happy with the end result. Searches can be a little slow, but edna delivers.
