Anyone interested in a bricked DNS323??

I have this DNS-323 that was in perfect working condition until I tried to restore the config from a backup to fix a corrupted iTunes web page. Apparently I had looked at the config file in Windows (out of curiosity) and when it was restored to the DNS-323, it corrupted the system to the point  that it will no longer boot. It sits there with the blue light blinking and does not get a DHCP address and is not available on its default address.  After looking through the entries in this forum, I'm guessing, it's the dreaded CRLF problem and I have no time to play around trying to recover it. I tried to contact D-link for support, but that was futile. Since the unit is 2 week out of warrentee, I bit the bullet and ordered a new one. With the $20 rebate, it's only $140.

So, I have a bricked DNS-323 (w/o disks) that I'm sure can be revived by someone with the right tools. If you're interested it in, drop me a PM with a reasonable offer. Best offer before this w/e gets it.

Thanks, Bill

Re: Anyone interested in a bricked DNS323??

I've tried every possible way to do a h/w reset with no luck. On power up I can hear it spin up the disks, but then the power switch just blinks blue.  Drive leds are solid blue also.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
