Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
Is it right to say that if you have a fun_plug then the only way to get a clean file-system shutdown is to install cleanboot AND use the shutdown command from a telnet session?

I think I figured out what the difference is:
A restart can be done through the web admin interface (or the cleanboot page or telnet) and the filesystem will be cleanly unmounted
It's the full shutdown of the box that can only be done through telnet...

Clean restart can be achieved from telnet by invoking:
/usr/sbin/do_reboot

Hi guys! As shutdown command (with cleanboot installed) from telnet/ssh seems to be the only safe way to shut down the CH3SNAS, I would like to know whether it is possible to script ssh commands under Windows. I would like to have a nice little link on my desktop to shut down the NAS via ssh instead of having to open PuTTY, wait, enter "root" & the password, wait, and finally type "shutdown".
Is it possible to make ssh commands run automatically? Or would you know of any other elegant solution?
