Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hello There !
One quick question...
I've tried this weekend to set-up the Itunes Server from the web-interface of the NAS.... Changed the password as I couldn't remember it.
Since then, when I log off & relog on the web interface If i go to the "Itunes Server" section I can't see anymore the settings (I've only the "Save settings" & "Do not Save settings" buttons and NOTHING else below (see screenshot)... strange no ???
Furthermore, if i go to another section (like FTP or Quotas for exemple....) i have an error page (lost connection)....
Any idea ?
Thanks !

Thanks !
But .....I have never used Telnet in my life....
As far as I understood I have to install fun-plug and if I damaged the NAS the warranty won't work.....
Can I reinstall the firmware ? in that case the info on the drive will be lost ?

Installing fun_plug will not break it and it will not overwrite your firmware. When you are done you could remove the funplug, reboot the machine and everything is back to normal.
There is a good tutorial on this page: http://nas-tweaks.net/CH3SNAS:Tutorials/fun_plug. It's for the CH3SNAS, but its almost the same machine as the DNS-323

The info in http://dns323.kood.org/howto:telnet was misleading (install hacked firmware to get telnet access).
I've updated the wiki with a pointer to ffp, as RunaR has suggested.
