I never intend to hook a printer to my DNS-323... So the question is... Is it ok to kill the lpd process? If so, whats the best way (or should I say correct way) to terminate it? My approach would be to simply add an appropriate kill command in the fun_plug.local script.
Some may ask why bother? I prefer not to run any unnecessary processes so as to keep available memory free for other tasks (or file cache buffers).
