-sh: funpkg: not found

I've installed fun-plug0.5, I've downloaded all the packages, nothing unusual happened, even upgraded those that got skipped during initial install. I tried to install Transmission & Curl and I get the error [-sh: funpkg: not found]. I searched /ffp and found funpkg in ffp/sbin/ so changed directory to that folder, same error.

I found a reference to check the path, mine looks like this:
/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/ffp/bin

but should look like this:
/usr/sbin:/sbin:/ffp/bin:/usr/bin:/bin

How do I change it..?

Re: -sh: funpkg: not found

become root. root privileges are required, and root should have /ffp/sbin in $PATH.

Re: -sh: funpkg: not found

I'm using puTTY to login via SSH as root, so assumed I was root. I'm old and my thick skull is verrrry slowly adjusting itself to this Linux stuff. I went back to the Wiki ffp how to, under Root User it says to execute the following: pwconv, passwd, usermod -s /ffp/bin/sh root, so I did and it came back "no changes". I also ran pwck, grpck & store-passwd.sh again, re-booted the DNS and checked the path, it's the same. What have I missed?

Re: -sh: funpkg: not found

Code:

# whoami
root
# echo $PATH
/ffp/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/ffp/bin:/usr/bin:/bin

no?

Re: -sh: funpkg: not found

[whoami] returned not found. OTH, [id -un] worked:

~ # whoami
-sh: whoami: not found

~ # id -un
root
~ # echo $PATH
/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin
