Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi, I've been using this forum for a while now and it has been very helpfull to me, so I thought i would try give something back by posting my backup scripts here. I know many similar things have been posted, but just incase someone hasn't found what they were looking for yet....
All these scripts run as cron jobs on my backup dns-323.
-Rotating runs every 3 hours from 9am untill 12pm (working hours + a bit more) - makes a snapshot of my primary dns-323 and...backing up the changes of the past 3 hours, but keeps the previous files.
-Incremental runs every night at 3am - makes a backup of the changes made to primary dns-323 that day... creating an exact copy of what's on the primary nas.
-Remote incremental - does the same thing as incremental, but backs the files up to a remote ssh server.
Hopefully you can make sense out of my comments ... please ask if you have any questions.
I'm still using the fun plug 0.3 by the way....my two little nas units have been running in the office non stop since the beginning of the year without any hickups...i only reboot them once/month on average; hence no need to upgrade anything at the moment; allthough the fw1.07 looks rather appealing
Scripts are here: http://www.nunelah.com/stufff/
(Rename files to .sh)
