Dead link, rebooted pc, same thing
went to \\nas\ and it had no shares, just the website, printer etc
went to the admin page, and it could see the drives but wanted to set up the raid again...
erm help, got about 400gig worth of stuff on it.

My solution would be to pull a drive, hook it up to a PC running linux (or load ext2ifs on the PC if all you have is Windows) and start by backing up the data - return the drive to the DNS-323, reformat and then restore the data - and now that you have it backed up, keep the backup upto date.

Aye, already pulled one of the drives and put it safe. Only got my laptop with me currently, I work in IT support so will take the drive in work on monday and see what I can get off it.
Not impressed it just died like this

Used an ext2 tool to view the data on a windows machine.. so its still there.
Any idea how or why it would lose its drives yet the data stay intact ?
