Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

PS3 unable to see certain UPnP files

I'm having sort of an odd problem ...

I have my CD collection MP3'd, and can play only part of my music on my PS3.  Is there a limit on directory structure or naming?

I have the UPnP media pointing to:  \\Volume_1\Media

The music here plays fine:  ...\Music\Singles\Misc\Blind Melon - No Rain.mp3

Yet the music isn't found here:  ...\Music\Full\Classic Rock\Pink Floyd\(1971) Relics\01-Arnold Layne.mp3

The directories will read all the way till the MP3 (so I can see Relics directory), but it will not find the MP3's in the directory.

Yes I have verified the files are really there.

So ... any thoughts as to why the PS3 cannot play some of the MP3's?

BTW, I do have funplug installed on 1.05

EDIT:  I did some poking around and found the upnpav.db file and was looking at it through Firefox's SQLite interface.  The table that has the most information appears to be "music_tbl" ... and it appears files are there (over 6000 of them)

Re: PS3 unable to see certain UPnP files

I have never been able to get the built-in upnp to work.
Get mediatomb instead
