Please forgive me, I'm not technical. I wanted to get the BitTorrent software to work and got myself in some trouble after reading this site. I'm trying to put in the MLDonkey software but I was unable to put a directory in the ffp/bin directory so I started doing all of this: http://dns323.kood.org/howto:ffp#the_root_user
Then did this command: nohup sh /ffp/start/telnetd.sh restart
And it stalled, so I waited for a while and then rebooted my box. After that I had difficulty opening the connection in Telnet, but finally it worked and I was able to log in. Now I see this:
BusyBox v1.00-pre1 <2007-12-08:03+0000> Built-in shell (ash) enter 'help' for a list of built in commands
But I can't do anything. It just gives me black-space.
What do I do?

Wow, I'm really lost. I figured out my previous problem (needed to use root at the username) but I tried restarting the telnet again and it gave me a nohup error and stalled out, so I rebooted and again cannot access it via telnet.
Should I just give up?

I think so unless you learn the basics of linux and start to understand what you are doing.
Asking to one of your friends to give you a hand would be an safer solution.

None of my friends speak Linux. The answer was as easy as putting on a fresh copy of the tarball and the binary and restarting the DNS. Now I'm trying to figure out how to change directory settings so I can install new packages.
