Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Guys,
I am attempting to get NFS working to stream from the DNS 323 to the TVIX Box
I believe I need to get unfs3 and portmap going to do this.
I installed FUN-PLUG 0.5 fine (I think), I copy the two files into the DIR and reboot, I can telnet in and the tgz file is gone.
BUT when I try install the unfs and portmap packages I get this error.
# funpkg.sh portmap-6.0.tgz
/alt/sh: funpkg.sh: not found
Something tells me FFP didnt install correctly yet oddly I can telnet in fine.
Also my path is
# echo $PATH
/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin
#
This is wrong isnt it ? Surely ffp should be in there.
Also a stupid question - Do I need to install unfs and portmap ? Are they included with ffp 0.5 ?
Any ideas ?? any help appreciated

Guys an update -
when I do a ps -ef
I notice that
1800 root 292 S /ffp/sbin/rpc.portmap
1820 root 4536 S /ffp/sbin/unfsd -e /ffp/etc/exports
are there !
So maybe I dont need to do anything ! I will play with the exports file as in
http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t2031-Tryi … ideos.html
and see how I get on
Offline
# cat ffp/etc/exports
/mnt/HD_b2/Movies 192.168.0.0/24(rw,no_root_squash)
Ok looks like its working - I modified the exports file and I can 'map' it from the TVIX box
one problem - I cant seem to browse the files - I cant see any files...
Is this a downside to unfs and I need to install proper NFS of some sort ?
quickly getting out of my depth here !
