Hi
I ve been struggling to make Twonky to work and i hit a wall
Apparently it is not able to serve more than 18k songs without reaching his maximum memory 15.000
My collection holds approx 32k songs and the DNS 323 has only 32Mb of RAM
I am trying to stream my collection to a Roku SoundBridge
the built in iTunes server on DNS 323 is useless as well as the AV server
It chokes it stalls, now its showing some songs next moment shows nothing
I am connected to a Dlink DIR 655 which fails to stream/show any mtdaap implementations(wirelessly): native Itunes, DNS iTunes, Firefly etc.Multicast bug ??! Never got any answers from Dlink
Known bug, forums full of frustrated customers
I had it working once but only with an old firmware which is not possible to revert to
So i am left with one option only Twonky
Did anyone manage to make Twonky to work with a large music database?
I can't even try to put some video and/or pictures into this combination i am afraid it is gonna blow in my face ![]()
Is there a solution? a different server maybe
I am thinking seriously to change the router and have my music served by Firefly but what can i do about my video collection?
Thank You in advance!

I don't have this problem. With over 5.000 songs and 6000 pictures and 1000 videos twonky uses just 2215kb of memory so before the 15000 is full (you can change the 15000 in the ini settings) you need to have about 40.000 songs. That is what i would call a BIG collection.

Hi
Are you using it in chrooted deb mode or normal?
Would that make a difference?
I am wondering why mine jumps to 15000 after scanning 18000 songs and tells me it reached the maximum memory

i use it normal, and i have no clue why it takes so much memory. Before i started to use Squeezecenter i had 30.000 tracks and still no problems.
Maybe try a reinstall?
