Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I am a newbie with the DNS-323. i have done the fun plug thing and have been playing with lighttpd and telnet etc.
My question is : I would like to setup different bandwidth flows for my ftp server, meaning, the guests can only download at 50K and I can have unlimited bandwidth. I have setup the users and groups accordingly, but it seems the flow control is a global server setting and cannot be changed based on user/group.
Could someone please help me.
Also, is there a way to limit the bandwidth that is used by lighttpd?
Thanks in advance

QoS ( I should point out you use Traffic shaping tools to obtain QoS, but the term QoS will help you get tools in search terms easier).
Typically you do it at your router as the traffic is then 'shaped' for all connections coming out of your LAN. However from my ( very limited) experiences its normally done based on IP and/or ports I don't know whether its possible to do it based on user accounts. Doing it on the router also requires that your router supports it
I also don't know whats on the DNS-323 off the top of my head that will allow you to do this.
Sorry not helped a great deal
