Okay I have installed BitTorrent on my DNS-323 and it all works fine. The problem the Default location (and the BT share) is on Volume_1 which in my case is really small. Does anyone know how to change this location without mods to say Volume_2?

I had the same issue.
With a telnet access, I modified manually HD_a2/BT/btsettings to make the 3 folders complete, incomplete, torrents on HD_b2.
I also modified the samba share.
I have not yet finish my tests. I'll keep you informed.

I think you gona have a problem with the share: BT. It cannot be removed with the web interface. Maybe it's possible to remove it manually.

I made a mistake: I hopped that the bittorrent program was enable to take into account some parameters ...
Second option: move the folder Nas_prog to /mnt/HD_b2. The start script seams to be enable to this option into account. hope so !

at last !
I found a solution: neither moving Nas-prog nor BT folder is working. The only solution I found is to create folders on HD_b2 and to create links on HD_a2 pointing on HD_b2.
