How many daemons can the DNS-323 handle?

Just picked up a DNS-323 and two 1.5TB Seagate drives. After updating the firmware on both the DNS-323 and the drives everything is running nicely. I've got ffp running, telnet disabled, ssh enabled, and just got Transmission going. Transmission is a big improvement over the built in BT setup, especially with the Remote GUI.

What I'm wondering is how many daemons can the DNS-323 handle running at a time? Already I've run into time when the response time was pretty laggy. Sometimes it sounds like the drives have to startup, so that could account for some lag. Should I increase the drive sleep timer?

I still want to get rsync going as well as some sort of media server. Will I overload the CPU?

Also, if I delete the BT folder for the OEM BT client, will it remove the settings from the web interface or will it break the download section?

Re: How many daemons can the DNS-323 handle?

Anyone? Right now I'm transferring files via FTP and SMB and it isn't maxing out the CPU, but the RAM shows it is pretty much full. Is that what is limiting transfer speeds?

BTW, after deleting the OEM BT setup, the web interface just prompts me to install using the Easy Search utility. So far Transmission is working well, but slow...
