Hi,

I am using a windows program (Handy Backup) to copy data from my raid drive (on the windows PC) to the DNS (my X drive). I was curious if there was a way using SSH to see what the current data transfer rate was (to determine how many Mbytes /sec I am getting.

What SSH command should I be using?

Is it not simpler to do this on your Windows PC? Also, if FTP-ing, most FTP clients will report the transfer rate (on your Windows PC).

The backup software I use doesnt show the transfer speed.

Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the Networking tab - you'll get network utilization as a percentage.

I was looking to make sure that while my network card supports jumbo frames to 7, the DNS supports it to 9. I set the DNS to 7 (to match my network card). I am not sure if that was right & I figured I would do some testing.
