I had the latest funplug and the squeezecenter package running. I did a reboot to update one of my plugins, and now
The squeezecenter interface will not start. (cannot establish a connection)
When I try to uses the Dns:90 simple interface to see if the service is just not started, I get "
A username and password are being requested by http://dns:90. The site says: "Web Server Authentication"
any ideas and any ideas on what I am doing wrong, or even better how do I fix it.
BTW my admin page of the box itself is fine and I can telnet onto the box.

That's normal. Enter 'admin' and your admin password.
Regarding the squeezecenter interface, did you remove the old funplug before you installed the new one?

Thanks fonz - you are a liufesaver in more ways than you know. Your funplug is absolutely the best thing about my 323. I know that sound a bit crass, but it really is a great feature.
My issue with the pwd was so obvious I did not see it. I tried the squeecenter and all my indivisual passwords for the dns but not the admin (duh!)
once I could logon, I went to the Dns:90 interface and the issue was that the squeezecenter was not started, started it and voila all is again right with the world
Im learning, I have just installed a a to b backup script that I modified and it actually worked.
Thanks for being patient with us newbies who cut our teeth on windows and are learning this whole new language ... much appreciated
