Can anyone give me some pointers on how to tune? I've opened FTP access for some friends and I'm hearing of top speeds of 59KB. It is wired to my 2Wire (ATT Uverse) router and I have a 3mbps connection at home.

I should mention that it's 3.0 mbps downstream, 1.0 mbps upstream.

59KB/s is about half of your upload speed from your isp. The bottleneck prolly isnt your HW setup.
