Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I thought this FONZ fun_plug was a pretty simple thing, so I downloaded the fun_plug and fun_plug.tgz files from his website, uploaded them to the root of Volume_1, rebooted the DNS-323, and it's not doing anything.
I've read that people have it working with D-Link's latest 1.06 firmware, so what in the world am I doing wrong?
I saw no mention of having to modify anything in the fun_plug install script, is that correct?
Thanks for any help!

Okay, figured it out: my right-hand HDD is Volume_2, not Volume_1. Copied the fun_plug files over to Volume_2, and it worked without a hitch.
Now, who knows the easiest way to move fun_plug to a USB flash drive mount on the back of the DNS-323? :-)

Detail on mounting an external drive is located in the Wiki at http://dns323.kood.org/howto:external_drive
There's several messages on the forum that may provide insight. Here's just a few;
