why 20 minutes too much on my DNS-323 ?

Hello

I have a small question about my dns-323 , it's always 20 minutes in advance to my normal time ...
If I change the time , it is of course changed again by night ( by the RTC's command in the crontab )

What's the simpliest way to make this at the correct time ... ( so 20 minutes before ) ?
It's really enoying as my Dns-323 is running squeezecenter and is the place where my squeezebox takes the time it shows when not beeing playing music !

For information
Here is the content of the crontab :

32 2 * * * /usr/sbin/rtc -s
30 2 2 * * /usr/sbin/rtc -c
59 1 * * * /usr/sbin/daylight &

Thanks for the answers.

Re: why 20 minutes too much on my DNS-323 ?

I don't know if these crontab entries are special for the dns-323 or if they are caused by choosing a daylight saving rule on the web interface. Some firmware versions had a bug with daylight saving set to anything other than "none".

If you have internet access from the NAS or have a local NTP server I would suggest using NTP to synchronize the time of your dns-323 and turn off daylight saving in the web interface if it is on at the moment.
You will need the ntp package for ffp of course.

Re: why 20 minutes too much on my DNS-323 ?

Hello

Thanks for the reply

but ... daylight saving was not activated.
and when trying to set-up NTP , I could never make the NAS beeing able to connect the NTP server   .. ( hmm ) ( I've tried from the laptop, and the ping is well responding )

But , I asked the NAS to be sync with my laptop time ... and it seems that this morning , the 20 minutes are not there !!
Currently , the daylight saving is set , the ntp as well ( even if I'm not sure it can really connect the server )

and the crontab entries are the same...

32 2 * * * /usr/sbin/rtc -s
30 2 2 * * /usr/sbin/rtc -c
59 1 * * * /usr/sbin/daylight &

I don't really like not to see what's happening ... but the fact is this night .. the time stayed the same ... it's already a good point
