Hi everybod!
I am using the DNS-323 in a small local network (computers with win 2000 and xp).
I activated the ftp-server and set up a user with full permission.
If I want to get some files (which where created by the local computers) via ftp I get an error message
saying "permission denied".
What can I do?

Three questions ...
You activated the ftp-server and set up a user with full permission - to what?
Where are the files stored ?
Are the answers to the first two questions the same?

Here comes the answers:
1. The Ftp-user has read/write permission to the whole volume of dns-323.
2. The files are stored in serveral folders on the volume of dns-323.
3. yes
.... is there a solution?

If things were as you describe, then it should not be possible to get a permission denied message - but you are - therefore, things cannot be as you describe.
Perhaps you need to look at the permissions on the files themselves.

Is your FTP user (i.e.: 'ftpjohn')
different from your 'Network Shares' users (i.e: 'john', 'peter') ?
That could be the reason...
