Charset in MediaTomb

Alot of my media wouldn't load with MediaTomb and I think I found the error. I manually start up the MT server and I get the following output:

2008-10-28 23:03:30    INFO: Loading configuration from: //.mediatomb/config.xml
2008-10-28 23:03:30    INFO: Checking configuration...
2008-10-28 23:03:30    INFO: Setting filesystem import charset to ASCII
2008-10-28 23:03:30    INFO: Setting metadata import charset to ASCII
2008-10-28 23:03:30    INFO: Setting playlist charset to ASCII
2008-10-28 23:03:30    INFO: Configuration check succeeded.

The charset is ASCII, and that I believe is the cause for this error:

2008-10-28 21:27:32   ERROR: iconv: Invalid or incomplete multibyte or wide character

I've checked all configuration files and the charsets set there is UTF-8.  I checked the config file stated in the above log output (ie //.mediatomb/config.xml) but no ascii is to be found, only UTF-8.

My question then is where does the ASCII charset come from?

Re: Charset in MediaTomb

No, I still have the same problem. Since it only affects how filenames are displayed I haven't given much time on the problem.
I will try what's been suggested on your thread.
