Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
Sorry for being a newb.
I've tried finding the answer myself but having no luck. I put the fun_plug and fun_plug archive file on the drive. It installed and deleted the archive file. However it won't start the telnet server.
Here is the contents of my ffp.log file

This means that the fun_plug.tgz file was broken (incomplete, maybe?). Try downloading it again (maybe using a different browser), then put it on volume 1, again, and reboot. If you WinZIP or similar, you can try opening it and see if the file is complete and correct.

Thank you fonz. I thought that might have been the problem as I tried to unrar the file on my computer and received some errors but I wasn't sure if winrar supported tgz.
I will try and download with another browser or try and find another source to download it from and report back.

I downloaded it from another browser (IE this time) still the same problem (winrar won't extract it, it gets errors).
I downloaded it from there: http://www.inreto.de/dns323/fun-plug/0.5/
Any other mirrors? Everywhere I find points to the same one.

I tried running it again (even though winrar had errors extracting it).
Here is my log this time. Telnet works now, there were still some errors though. Anything to worry about?
Thank you very much for the effort you put in and your help !

This shouldn't be there. While your fun_plug.tgz looks 'better' this time, it's apparently still incomplete. If you have a way to compute the MD5 checksum, compare it with: ebe901fdf6a8db04aff61d54f3d2710b
The size of fun_plug.tgz should be 10801937 bytes.

I checked the md5 and it matches. The file size also matches. I've found some issues as well due to it not extracting properly (missing directories / files).
Here is the md5 (it is in uppercase where as yours was lowercase but I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter)
EBE901FDF6A8DB04AFF61D54F3D2710B *fun_plug.tgz (I checked the checksum both after downloading and after copying to the DNS-323)

Any other ideas? I'm pretty stuck at the moment

No other ideas? Is it possible for someone to extract the archive and make that available for download for me?
Or download the same file and try and extract it themselves to see if they get errors?
