Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
So I have a DNS-323, with two 1TB drives in both bays setup in Raid-1.
From what I understand, Raid-1 takes one harddrive and mirrors it's contents to the 2nd drive.
I'm a little confused as to what the web-gui is telling me.
From the status tab:
HARD DRIVE INFO :
Total Drive(s): 2
Volume Name: Volume_1
Volume Type: RAID 1
Sync Time Remaining: Completed
Total Hard Drive Capacity: 981858 MB
Used Space: 440360 MB
Unused Space: 541498 MB
And from the Tools - RAID tab
RAID CONFIGURATION :
Current RAID Type :
Volume_1 : RAID 1
From the status tab, it seems like everything's working properly, but it also seems that the RAID Configuration screen should be giving me more information.
I can connect to Volume_1 fine, and see all my files, but is there a way I could access the 2nd drive to see that the backup is being done and see my files as I would with Volume 1?
I think I'm missing something.
Should also mention the dns323 is running fw 1.06.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You are not missing anything. The whole idea of RAID1 is for the mirror to be transparent to the user. Volume_1 is the sole logical volume that represents your RAID1 array. You won't be able to "inspect" the data on the second drive without getting very technical.

Thanks for the clarification.

and remember, RAID1 is not backup, it's merely redundancy, read this: http://www.alogic.co.za/?p=68
