p.s. I used hostcore 1.2.1 for the psp (firmware 5.00 m33-6)

hey, you just need to add the following options like so:

set number of clients to 6

./nethostfs -c 6

set number of clients to 7 and set port number to 1234

./nethostfs -c 7 -p 1234

set a different path to host, using port 1234

./nethostfs -p 1234 /mnt/HD_a2/PSP/

the minimum number of clients is 4, the default is 20

the default port is 7513

for auto starting this depends, do you have ffp installed?  if so you just make a new script within the /ffp/start folder and make it executable (chmod +x yourscript.sh)

otherwise you need to create a file in the root of Volume_1 called fun_plug but there are a lot of resources on here to help you with that.

I have the version 5.00 M33-4 on the PSP and i have installed and run the application you compiled on the DNS-323, it is listening but i can't make the connection with the DNS via the router. I have as well edited the VSH file & Conf file on the PSP for setting up the IP to connect to (dns-323 IP).
When i launch the hostcore 1.2.1 application, nothing happens i see the icon and set to wifi but i can t even see a try of connection to nethostfs on the DNS-323.

could you please provide with your procedure ?

I didnt have any issues but here are some things for you to try.

You said you had problems with the connection to the DNS via the router; Can you access the internet from your PSP?  This will tell you if you can access the network correctly.  Also, how many wifi connections do you have setup in your PSP ?  I have only 1.

Using Hostcode 1.2.1 on the PSP you should be able to select WIFI and then it will return to the XMB with the green wifi light left ON.  Do this *BEFORE* entering the games folder.  Also be sure you have an ISO folder in the path you set when starting nethostfs on the dns.

start simple, dont have a password and dont change the port.  make sure that your conf password is set to nothing too

IRShell is better because it allows you to browse the nethostfs properly, if you can connect using irshell on your psp try playing a .mp3 or displaying an image rather than trying games.  this will confirm your connection is working.  remember that not all games work via nethostfs.

I really didn't do any magic to get it to work, all I've got it the dns running the service and the psp can access the drive.
