Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hello everybody,
I'm stupid and you'll laught when you'll read what's happen to me.
I bought one week ago, a DNS-323. Perfect, I can access through windows or Linux and I see my 2 hd.
I've found on the net, fun_pkg. Perfect
I've installed it and follow some howto.
And the problems appear....
My ssh doesn't start (wrong update frome me ?)
I've stopped the telnet protocol (I hear you laughing :-)
Now, I can't access to the systems to change anything.
I explain :
I can access with webpage
I can access the HD's (with FTP or samba)
That's all.
I've found on each HD an directory call .systemfile
I rename these directory to _syste_file : nothing change
I try to reset to default factory with the admin webpage : nothing change
I try to make a hard reset (with reset button) : nothing change
I remove the battery on motherboard : nothing change
I try to boot with and without hd : nothing change
I suppose that all the system is on a flash memory and, of course I can't access.
Have you any ideas ?
Many thanks in advance for your helps.

My question is : is anyway to make a reset factory, even if i lost the contains of HD (there are empty)

Delete the "fun_plug" file in the main diretory via smb then reboot.
Now you should be able to delete the whole ffp folder.
Finally you can reinstall the fun_plug and pay attention not to repeat your failure.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I haven't any directory call fun_plug/
I had only to files called :
fun_plug and fun_plug.tgz
I've deleted them and reboot my nas : no changes

Did you delete the ffp directory?
If you did there shouldn't be any problem to reinstall the fun_plug.

I've already delete the directory.
I've upload fun_plug, fun_plug.tgz and reboot the nas, nothing change.
No directory /fun_plug has been created
these files are into the /Volume_1 (I can't access to /)
If I can start telnet on nas, my problem will be solved temporary
It seems that /fun_plug is used only to update the existing OS and can be removed, or some features are into flash ram (ssh & telnet).
fun_plug update config files NAS

Hmm, strange problem.
Maybe this simple fun_plug (0.1) is able to boot, i don't have any other ideas at the moment:

Hello,
I've solved my problem, I've swapped my HDs
I had upload fun_plug and fun_plug.tgz on /Volume_1
By default, Volume_1 is on hd0 and Volume_2 is on hd1
You can suppose that when NAS start it search some informations on Volume_1 : wrong
When Nas start it search on hd0
Actually, telnet is working (on local).
Of course, you'll tell me, swap your HDD to be logic with /Volume_1 = HD0 and /Volume_2 = HD1. You'll right, and i'll do this tonight
Thank a lot for your help
Merci
