Updated (just so I'm up to date). No issues so far. Too bad they couldn't be bothered to fix the e-mail alerts issue.

One of the dlink mods cleared somethings up -
To address your issues, ALL firmwares were bumped one version to fix hitachi drive compatibility across the board for NAS. This does not mean that we aren't still working on firmware with changes it is just now called 1.08 in the DNS-323's case.
The wishlist was already removed and reviewed and we are in the process of implementing some changes. I removed the thread today to not cause any more confusion with version numbers.
The hitachi drives are a high priority fix to us and on that note we try not to add letters like a/b etc after already existing firmwares when possible for OFFICIAL releases.
