Using the DNS-323 as a Time Machine backup for Mac OS 10.5?

Hi,

I was curious, my mac netbook can see the DNS 323 just fine.  I dont know how to map a network drive for Mac.  Is there a way to use the DNS 323 as a Time Machine backup source?

Thanks,
Rich

every guide I have seen for this, including the ones that have you install avahi etc.  always make you set the flag on your mac for allowing unsupported network volumes as backup targets.

I specifically bought a newer time capsule for my mac backups when they decided to release the dual band unit.  figured the upgrade to 802.11N was due anyway.

RichTJ99,  Welcome to the club.  I have a MacBook Pro using Time Machine with my DNS 323.  Here's the guide:

http://dns323.kood.org/forum/t2598-HOWTO:-(10.5.4)-Time-Machine-DNS-323.html

I followed it w/o any problems.
