Linux/CUPS settings for DNS-323

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere, but I couldn't find it.  What are the proper cups settings for the DNS-323 print server (wireless)?  I think I've tried every protocol in cups (ubuntu 9.04) with every combination of the IP and /lp, but it still doesn't work.  server works on an XP system on the same network, but I set that up by making the /lp a local port.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Linux/CUPS settings for DNS-323

after more trial and error, I've found that the smb: protocol, not the socket or other protocols is the only one that works with the stock box.  format is smb:/nas.ip.address/lp   Works well so far with my canon printer.
