Reformatted PC and I can not see my Dlink 323 NAS storage drive

Hi,

I recently reformatted my PC and installed a fresh copy of Windows Vista x64 with service pack 2.  In the past when I went to "My Computer" I was able to view my Dlink Nas storage drive.  Now it is no longer there.  I went into my Network properties to view my network devices and I can see the 'Dlink'.  Once I double click on the icon it brings me to the admin page to log into the NAS storage drive.  I want to access my files what do I need to do to get this to work again?

Also if I update the firmware to version 1.08 will I lose all my data that is currently on my drives?

You can always browse directly to the device using it's it's UNC name or IP address.  If you know the IP address of your DNS-323 you can just type in:

\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

This should should you anything that is shared on the device (printer, file shares, etc).
