Hi guys excuse my stupidity as I'm really frustrated with the unit right now. I'm using a D-Link DGL-4300 gigabit router and forwarding connections on public port 21 to private port 21 and the connection times out every time. I've started the FTP server on the NAS and I've tried different public ports as well. In my router I've made sure that port 21 is open and able to receive connections. I've tried changing the public ports to something other than 21 to no avail. I'm using the latest firmware on the NAS (1.07). I really don't think this should be that hard, what am I doing wrong?! By the way, I'm not a huge linux user but I'm really windows environment friendly. Thx.
