Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi there!
Because I want to change the partition size of the hard disks, which are currently installed in my NAS, I bought a new 500 Gb hard disk. After formating the disk using a gparted-live cd I connected the drive with a usb-to-sata converter to the usb port of the DNS. Afterwards I was able to mount the partition. But if I try to copy any data to that partition I'm only getting an input / output error. Does somebody has an idea what might be going
wrong here? Is there a better way to get my data to the new hard disk?
BR,
Markus

Try to use active usb hub. Without it I had input / output errors even with pendrive

With an active usb I was able to mount the drive, but after some hours of copying the usb connection isn't available any longer. Therefore the copy process (cp -a /mnt/HD_a2 /mnt/<mountpoint>) fails ...
BTW: The usb stick on which the funplug environment is installed was connected to that hub, too.
