DNS-323 iTunes Server question

I have two DNS-323 devices that have been running great for over a year (firmware 1.04).  I have music stored on one of the units and I have been just mapping to a shared folder from iTunes from various machines (Windows XP).  While that works great I would like to try getting the DNS-323 iTunes Server working.  I have tried this in the past but nothing ever shows up in my client iTunes application - the DNS-323 never is listed as a library.

The DNS-323 manual doesn't really get into any detail on setting this up.  On the iTunes Server Settings of the DNS-323 I set the folder to my music files (  Volume_1/music ) and enabled the iTunes server.  What else has to be done?  I tried clicking "Refresh" on the DNS-323 iTunes Server Settings screen but that just sits at 5% forever.

On other postings to this forum I mainly found postings regarding iTunes problems that involved the DNS-323 iTunes Server Settings screen not working.  I haven't run into that problem (yet).  I just can't see the iTunes Server from any of my network Windows XP computers (in their iTunes client).

Is there a step-by-step DNS-323 iTunes Server configuration guide available?

Re: DNS-323 iTunes Server question

Update - in reading the forum about improvements in upcoming DNS-323 firmware I saw something about support for iTunes servers with more than 50,000 files.  I am way over that so that might be the problem.  I searched this forum for maximum files the iTunes server supports and found this link:

http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1128

It would indicate that my problem is either with the number of music files and/or my music directory contains some mp3 files that the iTunes server doesn't like.  You would think it would skip files it doesn't support.
