I recently swapped 2 320gb drives to 2 1.5TB set to RAID1. My last set of drives did not do this, but these finished syncing on day one but the right HD LED has been blinking for 2 days post upgrade and the unit wont go into power saver mode like it is trying to read/write something over and over. Does this mean a corrupt drive?

sorry to repost, but this LED is still going strong. Over the weekend I turned the DNS off and on the following day and the right LED started blinking again and has not stopped. Any Suggestions?

Bizarre. No answers here, but I notice that when I run e2fsck using the FFP fsck method that my right drive blinks for some 5 minutes or so before they both start going. I find this really odd since I'm running RAID-0... Hope you figure this out!

I forgot to add I have not modified the device at all.
When running RAID1 on the old drives they had equal activity but the new drives act a bit differently for some reason.

I have the same problem. When I received my DNS-323 three weeks ago I set up everything it worked without any problem. The hardrives were set into hibernation mode after the time specified time in the settings. For a few days the right HD keeps blinking all the time and the system won't hibernate.
I'm using Firmware Version: 1.06 without any modifications.
Any new ideas how to solve the problem?

I know this is weird but I installed the BitTorrent app 2 nights ago, have not actually used it to DL anything yet but it seemed to stop the LED problem. Until today I noticed the right HD blinking again.

I have exactly the same issue with the right drive. The drive is clicking away at a regular rate. If I reboot the dns-323 then all seems fine but after writing to the drive (or maybe just using it at all) the right LED keeps on blinking. The first time this happened it did it for about 24 hours and I thought it was normal. But then it kept going for days before the unit seemed to hang and I rebooted.
Has anyone found a reason / explanation / solution? I don't mind too much that the drive is getting worn out by not hibernating as long as I know that the data is writing to both (RAID 1) alright and one of the drives isn't broken.
Thanks,
Alex

I have the same problem. I wonder if it's a firmware 1.06, as the hibernation seemed to work fine with 1.05. Odd!
Anyone have a solution?
