Dlink DNS 323 built-in BitTorrent feature not working...

Hi guys, I know this is a built-in feature but maybe someone here have already experienced this before. I have a DNS 323 with 1.07 FW and RAID1 (2x1TB). Well, everything works fine but the BitTorrent, I loaded it from a file and clicked start, but it actually never starts... just stay steady on 0%. What should I do?

I was wondering in install the mldonkey which would be great to have better bittorrent features and so on... but I see that to install it, I'll need to install fun_plug stuff and so on... I have 700GB file loaded it up and I can't afford try to install any script that may cause data lost. Is there any way to install the mldonkey as simple as possible so I don't have to modify anything on DNS 323 system?

Thanks!

Re: Dlink DNS 323 built-in BitTorrent feature not working...

EDIT: Guys, I was looking around about this BitTorrent problem and found one post where someone had the same problem and he was asked like "Have you checked your DNS settings on DNS323?".... well, it instantly came to my mind that I haven't setup any DNS settings and as the DNS323 was not with DHCP I would have a little hope on narrowing down this issue. Nice, I setup the DNS and got the internet conection on DNS323, now when I added a NEW torrent from a file it started to download!!

The only thing that still remains not working is ADDING FROM URL... I inserted for example an .torrent URL and click add, it shows "The URL was sent!", but it doesn't add or download the requested .torrent. Anybody? smile

On mine, there's sometimes a lag between adding a file via URL and having it show up in the interface, or sometimes I have to submit the URL twice. It's relatively rare and minor in my experience, though.

Unfortunately, mine won't even waiting or trying adding again... Another CRUCIAL question, if you're downloading a 2GB torrent for example, you're like in progress (lets say 20%) if someone turn off the NAS by pressing and holding the front button, it will get the NAS turned off and screw the bittorrent downloadings??! Because mine were!! sad

Looks like if I really want to get bittorrent functionality on this NAS I'll have to install the mldonkey, it looks way better on features. I'm not sure about this turn off and losing progress, gotta have someone confirming this for us.

EDIT: Taking a better look if I have lost its download progress, actually when I turned on the NAS again, it started from 0% but it didn't load from web again, it just like did "rebuild" till near where I was when the NAS was turned off and took about a few minutes (around ~8 mim), to get back on 20% (400MB). I'm not sure if its going to corrupt any files or something like that. I'm testing this built-in bittorrent function with a ~2GB torrent...

Yeah, maybe you're right, but I noticed lack of some really basics features... Where's the choice for "Turn off after downloads completes", maybe also to add more trackers to that torrent?

In fact, I still can't add .torrents from URL. Dlink should have done at least BASICS tests before release it to a new FW, =/
