Wiki: External USB drive "How-To" up to date?

I'm preparing to soup up my new DNS-323, and was reading the How to mount an external USB disc here:

http://dns323.kood.org/howto:external_drive

The link to Paul's module is broken, but I browsed his site and found usb-storage.ko in a location that appears to indicate it's for firmware 1.03:

http://dev.skcserver.de/dns323/modules_ … b/storage/

So assuming that's correct, can someone confirm whether the instructions in the Wiki are up-to-date for that version of the module and firmware 1.03?

I'm a newbie at this, no experience w/Linux, unfortunately.  Though I used to write a mean batch file back in the day...replaceable parameters and heavy stuff like that.  wink

That kernel module is correct except that is compiled with debugging so it will fill your logs.... It has on my box.

Thanks...I assume that's a minor issue, not a reason to avoid using it.
