External NTFS USB HDD using ntfs.ko or ntfs-3g?

Hi,

I'm just looking into getting my external HDD hooked up to my CH3SNAS and it all sounds good but I have a few questions.

How reliable is the ntfs.ko?
Is it compatible with the 1.05 firmware (for CH3SNAS)? There are various versions around compiled against different DNS-323 firmware/kernels.
How do these drives show up in Windows? If you format them do they show up in the Easy Search utility?
I have fun_plug and Optware installed. Is it possible to use NTFS-3G to mount the external NTFS drive (this is one of the OptWare packages)? and if do i have to remount every time i reboot the CH3SNAS? (automount?) -according to http://dns323.kood.org/howto:optware i have optware remounting at boottime but maybe i need a script that I saw on the forums here.

A lot of questions for a first post so for that I apologize. I'm impressed with this unit and with the community that exists to support it and hope that I can contribute in the future.

Is http://dev.skcserver.de down? The link to http://dev.skcserver.de/dns323/modules_ … storage.ko doesnt work at the moment...
