323 arrived, and have set it up with two 500 Gig Seagate drives in RAID1. It really is a nice piece of work...very solid and nicely put together. It's actually a bit smaller than my Netgear SC101, which surprised me a bit...very compact.

Home PCs are all in the same workgroup, also set in the DNS-323. However, I have a work laptop that is not in the same workgroup, it is actually set up for an NT domain at work. (All desktops and laptop are on XP Pro SP2, BTW.)

Easy search can't see the DNS-323 from the laptop, Easy Search works fine from all the other PCs.

I can browse to the DNS-323 via Network Neighborhood, find my home workgroup there and then map to it. But wondering if Easy Search just won't work because the laptop doesn't belong to the workgroup...couldn't find anything in the docs that indicated that, and searched on Workgroup and didn't find anything here either...

My laptop login/etc is also set for the NT domain at work. But it works fine with the Easy Search when I'm at home since the first day. This laptop is with XP/MCE plus the Banana mod so that it works like XP/P and can join a domain.

However it was the opposite for me. At one time, one of my 3 home PCs just didn't work with Easy Search. Then I upgraded to the v1.03 firmware and using the latest v3.5 Easy Search that PC (XP/P SP2) magically found the DNS box.

Thanks, Phil. I should have noted that I am on 1.03 and 3.5 Easy Search as well...hmmm, I'll have to try it on my wife's laptop tonight and see if it works there.
