I assume they would show up as Networked drives, but wanted to be sure...can anyone who's modded their DNS to allow attaching drives to the USB port tell me if they show up in My Computer as local or networked drives?
Thanks...

I haven't done it, but, take it from me - they're not going to show up in My Computer until you map them, and then they will show up just as any other drive attached to the DNS-323 does, as a network share.

Thanks...that's what I thought.
If you have any expertise, I'm trying to get things hooked up tonight. Any comments on my questions here?

Let me make it clear - I'm no linux guru - but I'll take a shot at answering your questions.

Thanks!!
I'm no linux anything, so pretty much anyone outranks me at the moment...

Update - having tested this - the way the scripts are setup, the USB drive will show as a folder on the DNS-323.
This folder can then be mapped after which it will appears as a network share in My Computer.
