I tried the above version on my 323 box, and it stuffed it royally.
Both disk indicators were red when I went upstairs and I feared the worst.
I switched it off and back on and for a very short while I could access the data from my W2K desktop.
Now I cannot and the disk indicators are red again.
Initially the status page would not report the size of disks, space, or even that disks were present.
It had now done it again after a short period, so at present I have no NAS.
How do I recover from this please.?
The disktools scan option is disabled.
I can get to the web interface and via telnet. A restart of the nas just repeats this scenario.
How do I rescue all my data please.? FW is 1.0.8

Basically, the 5.0.x versions of Twonky for NAS use the flash memory for their database location (god knows why!) instead of the hard disk, so it eventually uses up all the DNS-323's flash space, causing it to crash.

It's funny, I literally just saw that post a couple of days ago and thought it sounded just like what you were describing. Glad you got it straightened out.
BTW, I'm running ver 4.4.18 right now, and it seems to be working great for me. Uses less memory and seems to display folders much quicker on my devices than the 4.4.11 I was running. Someone else posted that it doesn't appear to save changes you make to the Music tree, but I have no need to do that, so I'm currently unaffected by that glitch.

You need to set Custom navigation to be able to save any modifications to the trees.
I too have noticed that 4.4.18 uses a LOT less memory and is indeed much faster scanning than 4.4.9, but so far I have found the internet station streaming flaky, and I use Shoutcast a fair bit.
Seems to be swings and roundabouts with Twonky. In version 5, you have to create xml files to have custom trees. :-(
They seem to think users are programmers now. Seems a step backwards to me in user friendliness.
