DNS323+optware+eibd: which alternative architecture to use?

Hallo Folks

i have successfully set up my DNS323 with funplug and optware, so ipkg is working fine.

i want to install eibd (german page) (home automation server), unfortunately there is no package for the DNS323-Architecture (as i think). There are however several other packages for Linksys NSLU2, Freecom FSG and some Synology devices available.

can someone tell me whether or not one of these packages are suitable for the DNS323. I assume they are not since any of these packages (if they install) install without obvious errors but later produce /opt/bin/eibd: No such file or directory. Since the mentioned file exists and is executable (as ls -ls /opt/bin says) i assume that the respective binary is just not working properly on my architecture...

is there someone out there with some expertise on crosscompiling who can acknowledge that there is (or is not) a solution to this?

i visited the webpage https://www.auto.tuwien.ac.at/~mkoegler … /eibdriver and saw it needs a kernel driver. even if you can compile the binaries, compiling the kernel module will be complicated.
