I've been using the Twonky media server 4.x (forget exactly version) on my DNS-323.
Just the 30 day trial atm, but I like it and wanted to purchase a license for it.
However on their site I only found a Media Manager for PC to purchase.
I emailed them asking if it would work, but haven't got a response. I'm guessing it wont as it appears to be for a different program all together.
Is there an alternative I could use to Twonky?
Ive also used Tversity, but that has to be installed on PC and PC on.. I liked Twonky because it was right on the NAS.. no PC required.
What about MediaTomb? thats only other one that seemed similar that I've found so far.
Thanks.

As I recall, the Twonky NAS server installation will accept a any Media Manager license, but I'm not positive.
I recall coming across a thread about just that on their forum somewhere back when I first installed the trial, and I believe that's what I ended up doing. Don't hold me to that, though!

hrmm Ok I'll check into that.
That would be excellent.
If anyone else can back that up, or has any other input thatd be great too
in the meantime ill check over their forums again.

Did some digging around and confirmed it.
Any of these now unsupported versions (in the link below) will work with TwonkyMedia manager license key.

Awesome :-)
Yeah, 4.4.18 is the one to get, man; it's significantly better than 4.4.11 (which, itself, was significantly better than previous 4.4.x versions).

Do you know if I upgrade version, if current key will still apply?

Yes, it should. I started out, I think, on version 4.4.9, then went to 4.4.11, and then 4.4.18, all using the same license key.

I'll be purchasing key and I'll look into 4.4.18
